We’re urging decision makers to ensure that our streets are safe and functional for all Texans–pedestrians, cyclists, motorists and transit riders of all ages and abilities.
Streets aren’t just for drivers. They must serve everyone who uses them. Roads with accessible sidewalks, bike lanes and other simple features are better for everyone. Among other things, they can:
- encourage economic growth,
- increase safety by reducing crashes,
- promote public health, and
- decrease traffic congestion.
Is there a dangerous intersection near you? One that isn’t safe for everyone? We want to know about it.
